Bring Cans To Show You Care

If your weekend plans include attending either of Milwaukee’s St. Patrick’s Day parades, don’t forget to bring the food. No, not for you, but food for someone in need. Hunger Task Force is marching in both parades on Saturday, March 12th collecting non-perishable food items.
By donating a few extra cans of soup, tomatoes and boxes of pasta, you can make a difference. Hunger Task Force says they’re still experiencing a 20% increase in food demand over last year. Your contributions help the organization fill that gap.
Hunger Task Force’s staff will push grocery carts collecting the items during the parade. They’ll be downtown at The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin – St Patrick’s Day Parade starting at noon. The parade route begins at Old World Third Street and Wisconsin Ave., continuing to Highland Ave. and Water Street.
The group will also be at the Bluemound Parade beginning at 3:30 p.m. The starting point is at Balistreri’s Bluemound Inn at 65th Street in Wauwatosa and runs east to 50th Street.
