Oprah Winfrey While I knew it was coming, it was confirmed again this morning by the local ABC affiliate, there are only 31 more new episodes of the Oprah Winfrey show to see.

After 25 years, the talk show queen decided to end her successful program’s run. While the final episode will air in the daytime, ad rates for the final episode are more like a major league prime time event. According to Horizon Media, the going rate for a 30-second as on Oprah’s May 25th finale is $1 million.

This last show is expected to draw an even bigger audience than her usual seven million viewers per episode. Media experts expect advertisers to pay that steep ad rate because Oprah is a brand that many companies want to be associated with.

Could anything be bigger than Oprah? Yes, the finale of NBC’s , which was befriended for nearly $2 million per 30-second spot.
