You want more z2 you say? We’ll give you more, with our Jack of All Trades, Ashley Ruggirello. A designer, writer, improv fanatic and karaoke god – she keeps us on our toes. Not only does she always have a witty response ready, but she keeps everyone in the office positive and can bring even the worst days up. And, if you need anything done, she’ll miraculously turn it around with a simple, “Yup, I’ll have that to you asap.” A true team player, Ashley has been a wonderful addition to z2.

What’s a “typical day” for you?

Even though I get in around 8:00 AM, my day doesn’t officially start until the warmth of liquid gold, aka coffee, fills my mug. Now that I’m at a standing desk I have to keep my work area more organized, so I usually filter through the papers on my desk and coordinate the print-outs with current projects that require changes. I’ll jump online and check new projects/emails to see how to prioritize my day. Usually the quick and easy projects I try to finish first, since it’s always satisfying to cross something off my list, and they won’t take up all my time. Before really diving into work I check Yammer to catch up on what’s going on in the office on a more personal level. I always have at least four new posts waiting for me, so I try to interact with those when applicable. A pun off will always catch my attention.
My day is then filled with either meetings or project designing, broken up by my noon lunch break where I head over to Z2 Fitness for a short work out. It always feels better coming back into the office after getting some energy out. Then there’s more designing and meetings, reading the occasional article applicable to our industry (have you heard of the Not-Com Revolution? Pretty interesting stuff!), and I try to clock in my eight hours so I can leave at 5:00 PM so I can spend time with my two four-legged creatures, and husband.

What’s your favorite Wisconsin activity, pastime or place?

I’m a Milwaukee transplant and have only been here for three years, but I absolutely love the city (although I hate driving through it). I’m a foodie, so the endless dinner options are my favorite.

Ninjas vs.Pirates.

Pirates, no doubt. The Earth is mostly water, so there’s an upper hand right there. And I wouldn’t mind spending my time with Captain Jack Sparrow.

If you won the lottery, what would you do with your winnings?

First off I’d get the lump sum upfront, opposed to spread out over future years. I’d likely invest part of it, pay back my parents for all the chaos I caused them as a child, donate some to an animal rescue charity, and pay off all my bills. Oh, and cats. I’d get tons of cats.

What has been your favorite place to visit?

Hands down my trip to Italy earlier this year ranks as my favorite place I’ve visited. I would go back to the Amalfi Coast in a heartbeat.

If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?

The ability to refill things. Bank account empty? Refill it. Fridge empty? Refill it. Someone annoying you? Refill their bladder.

Celebrity crush.

Just one? How about top five? 1. Jared Leto (pre Joker and ombre hair); 2. David Anders; 3. Cillian Murphy; 4. Jeff Bryan Davis; 5. Alex O’Laughlin.
