We recently did some location shooting for Generac Power Systems which took us out to Texas and Kansas for a few days. The weather was great in both locations, and we got some great footage for a few projects we’re working on.

On Location for Generac

We primarily shot HD video this time, but we did find a few minutes to snap a few stills in Wellington, Kansas while we were there… Love the pumpkin! :)

eyes - by cory zimmermann

Eyes are simply amazing. About 3 years ago I shot a macro of an eye for a client of ours and it’s stuck with me. Every time I looked at it I wanted to see more. My last fine art series were based on pears. Simple single portraits of all different types of pears. Well staying in the “portrait” theme I’ve embarked in my new series… EYES.

The series will be complete when I have 50 eyes. If you would like to be part of this series please let me know. I have about 15 shot to date. Here are a couple.

To be one of the “50″ eyes please email me… SUBJECT: “EYES” coryz@z2marketing.com

Over at YafaRay they’ve got a tutorial describing how to light objects in a room using their raytracing render engine. To help describe what they are talking about, they show a real photo studio.

You may recognize that studio. I know I did, because it’s a shot I took of the studio at Z2 Photo. :)

Social Media Event
Z2 recently held a Social Media Event for one of our clients, and promoted the concept that you need to make your organization social from the inside out, utilizing a social media mindset in your processes and way of thinking rather than seeing social media as just another channel to sell goods to customers and promote your brand. Social media is as much about listening as it is about speaking… maybe even more so. If your social media strategy is a one-way message delivery mechanism, you should take a step back and think about the value to your brand of listening (and then responding) to what people are saying about you.

It’s Summertime!

And that was the theme for the 3rd Z2 Photo Challenge… although we were a bit worried we might not complete it before summer was over. When it comes down to it though, we get it done!

As always, the challenge is not about technical abilities with a camera or related equipment, but about how you look at things… how you see things.

The photos are below… Enjoy!
